Important Date Change & Application Deadline Reminder

Hi IoT Makers!

Thanks for registering for the Makers Against Drought challenge! Just a reminder that the deadline to apply for the Samsung ARTIK Alpha Developer Program (and your Samsung ARTIK Development Kit) is just around the corner - May 31, 2015. If you haven’t already, go ahead and submit your idea on www.artik.io.

We’re pleased to announce that we’ve received an overwhelming number of applications so far - way more than we expected.

This also means it will take us a while to go through all the requests we’ve received. We want to be fair and give everyone a full review, so we’re adjusting the dates of the competition.

During the months of June and July , we’ll be reviewing all applications thoroughly. We will be in contact with you about your application during the review period to check if there are any updates, and Samsung ARTIK Development Kits will be sent out starting from August 3rd to our 150 approved applicants. We know you’re eager to get started, and we appreciate your patience.

After the approved applicants get their Development Kits, the submission deadline for them (and subsequent dates) have also been extended to give them enough time to get their project running. Submissions on the challenge site are now due on November 3rd at 5pm PT. (Please see the rules for the full schedule.)
